Fat Attack is a bacterial additive that treats busy plumbing systems and grease traps. The micro-organisms found in Fat Attack safely break down and digest FOG (fats, oils and grease) on contact which keeps your drains, pipes and grease traps functioning like new.
Why use Fat Attack?
Treating your drains and grease trap with a bacterial additive is not a legal requirement. However, approved and licensed treatments significantly reduce the build up of FOG (fats, oils and grease) in pipes, drains and grease traps. This in turn reduces the frequency of expensive cleaning which justifies the cost of treatment.
How does Fat Attack work?
Fats, oils and grease, or tryglycerides have a common molecular structure, consisting of a glycerol headpiece with three fatty acid chains attached. Simply put, Fat Attack is a bacteria that breaks down these components down into carbon dioxide and water over time. To find out more about how this works, please click here.
How do I use Fat Attack?
Fat Attack can be hand dosed into a sink at regular intervals but they are most effective when allowed to sit in an idle plumbing system, for up to 4 hours each day e.g. last thing at night.
Automated dosing via a digital peristaltic pump is recommended as it eliminates human error and ensures consistent, accurate and timed dosing each day. To see more about our dosing pumps, please click here.
How long does a drum of Fat Attack last?
This depends on how you plan to dispense Fat Attack. If hand dosing, we suggest you pour approx 250ml of Fat Attack down each sink every evening.
